Well, I haven't gotten much activity on them as of late, but I wanted to remind everyone that Bolt has some blogs that you might be interested in! In fact, he's gone up from one to two!

So I've been noticing something a lot lately. I haven't been making much major progress with chapters. I've gotten them out, yes, and they've been satisfactory. I actually really love what's come out, even with my slowed pace.
But I'm hitting a lot of walls lately. I get half a sentence in at most on some days, and I second-guess even that much every single time.
And I think it's some kind of burnout.
So, I decided to do something... really difficult.
So, I've been working on this chapter I'm currently on, the one I promised would have more apple shenanigans, off and on all year. I know what I want to do with it, but with how this year has gone and how my mind has been, it's been an unintentional slog. I just haven't been as motivated as I'd like to be to finish it.
So, I think I owe you guys an update now that we're two months into the year. Lots has been going on and you deserve to be made aware.
My brain is in a weird place right now. I'm figuring things out. On the advice of friends, I've decided that the chapter that kept me from posting for an ENTIRE YEAR is either going to be delayed and scrapped entirely thanks to what it was doing to me on a mental and emotional level. I'll figure out some other way to do what I wanted to with that one.
So my friend Krickis just did one of these, and honestly I couldn't resist giving it a shot. My answers will be after the cut, folks!
1. Tell us about your current project(s) – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?
So, I realized two things lately that have gotten into my head.
First: It's been six months since my last release, which lends a lot of validation to you all being surprised when I release new chapters.
Second: The chapter I'm currently working on, I wanted to release before the end of Pride, and that's four days away.
Hey, folks! Just wanted to let you know that writing is still happening. Things on the life end have been fairly distracting, what with cleaning, relationships, and personal demons not unlike Bolt's plaguing my mind as of late. It's a little slower, but it's definitely happening! After a chapter of fun, we're going to be getting into one of the greater story arcs of this season, possibly continuing another at the same time! So look forward to it!
So I finally saw the MLP finale. And I'm even done crying for the moment! I'm just... Well, right now I'm processing. One of the first things on my mind was how it will affect what I'm doing. I'm in about as many pieces as there are books in Twilight's library about the show ending, but I know that we fans will keep it going.
As will I.
So, as we all know, season 9 of the show that this entire site is devoted to stories about or from is guaranteed to be the final season. Not only that, but there are some big changes that they intend to make to cement "the end". And that has put a lot onto my mind.
First and foremost, I want to assure you that season 3 of the "One Bolt" series will play out as planned. It's not affected by all these happenings, so you can look forward to what's to come there.
So, I've been talking with a lot of people about my stories for a while, now, and there's one thing that seems to be a detractor for many of them. If you read this blog's title, you'd know. It's the length of each story. So, I just wanted to give a little bit of an explanation.
Yes, these stories are long. Intentionally so, even. But they're also something a little different from many of the other multi-chapter stories I've seen here on FIMfiction, or anywhere else for that matter.
I went onto mtgcardsmith for the first time today and turned Bolt into a card! I used the cover art for One Bolt Moving Forward, as I think that's when he's looked his absolute most heroic. What do you think? Of course, I made sure to include Hoodwinked MCShelster's name as the illustrator. It's only fair that I do so.
